Meet Monika - Our Beautiful Seamstress
Monika Menage is a bold woman from Sri Lanka, an amazing seamstress with decades of experience, who decided some time ago, despite difficult life circumstances, to live freely and pursue independently the work she loves.
Our paths crossed two years ago during our travels in Sri Lanka, and we instantly fell in love with her big heart, radiant smile, and kind hands.
It all started when she made a perfectly fitting shirt for Richard—just by eye. The moment he put it on, he didn’t want to take it off. He felt something within him shift. As if a long-hidden part of his soul was finally given space to shine again.
We felt that this wasn’t something we should keep only to ourselves. That we were meant to share this magical clothing with others. And in doing so, support Monika on her journey toward freedom and independence, helping her fulfill her dream in a country where it’s still far from common for women to run their own businesses.
A beautiful collaboration was born, and the first men’s and women’s clothing collection came to life.
Over the past two years, this clothing has sparked many smiles, as well as tears, transformations, and personal awakenings. It has brought onto surface the natural essence within more than one person.
And it is just the beginning…
From the very start, we knew this clothing was different, and we’ve been letting ourselves be guided by where and how it wants to serve.
Deeper and deeper layers of meaning behind this co-creation keep revealing themselves, and we feel deep gratitude and a sense of blessing.
